400th post not really

TECHNICALLY this is my 400th post, but I have reblogged a BUNCH of others posts so I'm thinking I may have another 40 or 50 before my REAL 400th anniversary.  Here is what I labored over late last night for my son's Eagle Scout celebration. It was supposed to look more like THIS but I knew from the git go that the eagles were not going to happen when I found out there is no video for this yet. So I tried a modified version using all polish (the stars were doomed from the start) Illamasqua Scorch and Phallic and aEngland Percival were my colors. Stripes are hard too, btw.Oh the glitter is Utopia Stars and Stripes! Pre clean up and about 2am....
here he is right after receiving his pin-

NOTD started off as office friendly

I had to meet with a lawyer (stupid roofers!) and decided to go Zoya Dove plain (gasp!) for the day- three coats made it gorgeous- make sure to wait wait wait between coats. The next day I had to jazz it up a bit so I pulled out my dotting tools and did a quick retro-y design with Barry M.Peach Melba and Jordana French White- Poshe over top.  Sorry about the wear and tear- this was three days out for the base.

Something a little different...

So my nails are yellow because I paint them..and I have to paint them because they are yellow....you know the drill lol. BUT I have been using Deborah Lippmann Hard Rock as a base for a couple weeks and it seems to prevent staining exceedingly well, so I ws feeling brave enough to try this modified French Tip- two coats of a peachy pink jelly Sation Love At First Byte then a random black with a dotting tool for spots. Dazzle Dry over.

I LOVE this holo!

Chiralty Kale looks like it's going to join that very tiny group of polishes I must get back ups for. The dense mossy green with a touch of teal complicated by holo shimmeriness is just gorgeous.  Poshe does not dull the holo. All pics under the Ott light.

Trying to bring a little sunshine inside

It's been raining....and raining and raining. Around 10 inches in the last few days (yeah, be quiet, UK-ers, this is supposed to be FLORIDA!) So three coats of Zoya Arizona accented with my #1 favorite glitter Utopia Hibiscus and I am feeling the heat! HK Girl over. (Gelous on glitter first) ALl pictures under Ott light.

Yeah macro on new phone!

Dots alot of fun!

Time for pastels- random ones I normally use for nail art, but they seemed kind of ice creamy together- plain white dots tie it all up! Poshe over-

Poor broken pointer growing out :(

MSMD with Color Club Halo Hues 2013

Paulina did a beautiful mani I wanted to try. Here's what inspired me: Triangles  I painted two coats of the CC holos on a plastic bag and set them aside to dry. I only waited an hour because holos dry quickly. The hardest part was picking the polish off the plastic and cutting tiny triangles. Mine weren't small enough so I had to over lap. I only needed one coat of the base, then a layer of topcoat (Deborah Lippmann Hard Rock) then quickly placed a few pieces on each nail- doing them one at a time. I figured a slow dry topcoat was the trick to have time to set the pieces.. One layer of topcoat over everything to smooth, although I will try Seche Vite next time as these are still a little bumpy- I expect the SV will melt the pieces a bit, might be another cool effect!
Sorry for oily fingers and bad cleanup- it was midnight before I finished.
