Rockin' the Pop Art

Barry M Mushroom is a beautiful taupe cream opaque in two thin coats. The brush and application are near flawless. I'd been waiting to try the gloriously bright and fun glitter topper, Candy Lacquer Pop Art, and this was my chance. Match made in heaven. Fun fun fun.

My First Roses!

Cult Nails Grunge is such a perfect two coat sage green! LOVE the application, brush, color, everything about it. Well done, Maria, well done!! I used a couple purple polishes and made a few roses, but I didn't want to push my luck and try to do all my nails at 10 at night, and I stink at lines, so a couple more nails got large white dots with Cult Nails Tempest. My nCLA Flawless topcoat left horrible sheet marks, so I slapped on a coat of Dazzle Dry this morning. Kind of really liking this look.

I made very effort to have all the Ozotic Mish Mash polishes before they went out of production. Multichrome and holographic goodness together is a no-brainer. I love all the bling with so little effort. So I was a bit skeptical when ILNP declared that her holo multis did not need black underneath. Skepticism dead. gone. over. This is Nostalgia (H) a red-green-brown-golden multichrome with a wide holo scattered throughout. Two coats plus topcoat. No black base. Brilliant. My fave by far.  These pics are all the same polish, taken under different lighting conditions. Really.

Orange Pop!

Christy at KB Shimmer has some of the best colors and glitters around. This is Orange Pop over one coat of Catrice Orange Drops for a little extra depth.

New post! Faded Dot Gradient

Poor, poor neglected blog, life has been happening and you've been left alone.  I do have a new post for you! I have raely, if ever, bought cream polishes from indie makers, but Cult Nails had a half price flashsale and I jumped! So glad I did, too. Faded is a perfect gray, opaque in two thicker coats, although I used three thin. I accented with a gradient of OPI Funky Dunkey and a few dots.  Sadly, shrinking Seche over the top.

The Drugstore Polishes I'm Keeping!

I was sent a collection of Sally Hansen Triple Shine polishes for an honest review. While I'm not a huge fan of the limited palette (from my perpective) the colors apply like butter with the large flat rounded brush and with the topcoat, these polishes last until you remove them! I went five FIVE days before changing out my mani. Unheard of! (the tip missing from my left pointer was the result of a run-in with a knife) The topcoat isn't fast dry, but wow. wow.  Long wear and wet look shine. wow.
Play Koi is a tomato red jelly- three coats with topcoat, although for a day's wear I'd skip the topcoat. You don't need it for shine!
