Anyone Else Jonesing for Summer?

I was really hoping to make my pasty white hands look tan with these KB Shimmer nearly neon shades, You're So Shellfish and Chick Me Out. Alas, no luck, although I do think the brightness detracts and perhaps evens out a bit of the fishbelly blue tone in my skin. Three coats each, normal for these types, Dazzle Dry over. Makes me want to drink rum from a pineapple.

Just Swatchin' up Some Pretties- Cult Nails

SO after a great run, Maria is packing it in for bigger and better things. Her blog is here. In honor of obtaining a few more to add to my collection of about three dozen, I swatched a couple and wore them for a few days. Qtica under, Cult Nails Wicked Fast over.
The mint with pastel microglitter, Thrive, was a hot mess to apply and remove. It took three thick goopy coats to even begin to look level. I had such high hopes I had gotten one of the good bottles; apparently this has been a common occurrence with this color. Let me Fly, otoh, is a dream, two coater and easy removal (no staining!) and I may get a backup if any are available when/if she reopens for clearance.

NerdLacquer Hyperspace Bypass

I've been avoiding my glitterbomb polishes, as my cuticles can't handle the acetone bath needed to remove them. I took a chance this time, as I have acquired a bottle of Glitter A-Peel (GAP) by NailPatternBoldness. Two thick coats of the base, then two of HB followed by two coats of Cult Nails Wicked Fast TC. I only wore this about 36 hours, but with careful prodding from an orange stick I was able to remove 99% without acetone in about 5 minutes. My nails are very thin and I worked slowly to not gouge them. A couple nails came off in one sheet, most required a little work, but all in all a very satisfying event. I will be wearing more glitter with this base from now on!! And Hyperspace is so fave that I just got a back up. The new bottles have less fine glitter, but still beautiful.

I Needed a Happy- Rainbow Nails!

I had some rather jarring news last night, and when I opened my feed and found this I knew what to do. The hard part was choosing the colors, so I went with Deborah Lippmann's 80's Rewind set, just substituting Lara's Theme for the orange in the set, as it's a jelly. Splodging away, and I'm pretty happy with it!
