Illamasqua is a grass green (acidic lime on the website) with a shimmer finish. Three coats were needed for opacity, but the polish flows well and the brush is perfection. After a day I dressed it up with some spots and flowers. Wearing this for three days now and it makes me happy! This shade of green is really my happy place.

Paula's Favorite
Inspired by Robin Moses- I did this for Paula a few years ago, and she has been whining asking about me doing it again for her- so here it is- white base is three coats of China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around, the flowers are all acrylic paint. Enjoy, sweetheart!

Spring Flowers on Short Nails
Tutorial and all credit to Robin Moses http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sytLEYLaNhU&list=UUmQ_NsMT0OPNbp_PNw0u2tA&index=2&feature=plcp
Paula likes flowers, so I had pinned this to my Pinterest recently and she was smitten. She prefers polish to acrylics so the only part done with paint is the leaves, the rest is various China Glaze and Zoya polishes. The base is three coats of Revlon Matte Suede in Powder Puff, a slightly sparkly white that looks like fine porcelain with a topcoat. Base is Seche Clear and top is one of the new Revlon Colorstay TC and one Seche Vite.

My failed Robin Moses Replica!
So I saw this gorgeous (and which ones AREN'T??!?!) Robin Moses nail art I was sure Paula would like, and followed the link to the tutorial. Fine. Easy. Tried it. Failed. She makes those things look as simple as falling out of bed. And they are NOT. The swirls defeated me at every turn. (ha!) But fortunately I had topcoated before the acrylic so I was able to erase the mistakes with water. (good tip btw) All the bases are China Glaze, I would be happy to let you know the names if you like, the flowers are acrylics I mixed. Out the Door topcoat.
Oh, here is the REAL DEAL if you like! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlrufBJolgU
