New Year's Eve nails- and another green weekend!

This was so hard, deciding what to wear for the last day of the year. Would it be one or more (skittle maybe?) of the new dark franken holos I had made? Would it be my beloved Lizard Belly? Or maybe one, no, ALL FIVE of the Finger Paint flakies over black. Or Clairvoyant (aka Unicorn Puke) over anything? Well, you guessed it, with the holiday falling on a weekend, it HAD to be green. But not just ANY green- Zoya Midori is to green like NfuOh 61 is to silver- sitting in the bottle, it looks like a gold-leaning  green shimmer/metallic. And since I was planning alot of glitter over it, I figured that would be OK. But as soon as I started applying this over a coat of Zoya Get Even- I realized this was more like a tiny golden glass flecked apple green. Applied creamy and dreamy with barely any streaking and perfect at two coats. Untried down: 1. But it IS NYE, after all, so I dragged out the big guns, Lynnderellas! Three fingers on each hand got a single heavy coat of She Lived in a Swamp, the others got two coats of Change. Untrieds: total 3 down! Gelous and two coats of Seche Vite and I am ready for a three day weekend! Bring it on, 2012, I'm waiting!

The PolishAholics Prayer by Debbie Crumpet- go see her blog! http://thecrumpet.blogspot.com/

The PAA  Prayer .....

Our nail polish, that live in Melmers, (or Helmers)
Goddess be thy name.
From China Glaze
To OPI
And every bottle that’s heaven.
Give us each week our Monday Challenge,
And forgive us our photos,
As we forgive those who have more polish than us.
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from Google,
For we cannot be trusted,
From the blog spots to the drug stores
Forever and ever
Amen

Happy Birthday Adam Joseph! (my grandson)

And here is the birthday mani your Uncle Josiah picked for you: One coat Lynnderella's Glittering Crowd (over 100 different glitters in this party bottle) over 1 coat  Fingerpaints OuttaSight Orange. Gelous under and over as well as a thick coat of Seche Vite (may need another)
here is OuttaSight Orange one coat- pretty orange and pink glass fleck- nearly a one-coater, I would have used two if I wasn't adding glitter.

and here is the birthday boy!

Funky French Glitter Tips

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms have been popping up at Ross stores and I managed to find one lonely set that begged to come home with me. It included Diamond, used as the base here over Essie all in One Base. I sponged on tips with China Glaze Some Like it Haute and practically dumped Seche Vite over it all. Still kinda chunky, don't expect it to last long, but it's a very different look for me!
Loving the holo and glitter though!

Green virgin no more!

Did a quick holiday mani for a friend whose ex was so controlling she wasn't "allowed" to wear anything but pink or red polish- well take this, Mr. Marine! Green glitter! China Glaze Emerald Sparkle designed with some white and gold poinsettias dotted with China Glaze Ruby Pumps! Bam!!!!
Orly Bonder under, Seche Vite on top.

Barry M (thanks, Crumpet!) Racing Green and Essie As Gold As It Gets

On weekends we wear green. After a disaster with Orly Lucky Duck (caution- stains) and trying to recreate a beautiful design I saw earlier today, I opted for the gorgeous deep blue/green Barry and his wonderful M Racing Green. Got him and some of his brothers in a swap with the marvelous Debbie Crumpet (go join her blog....here......now!  http://thecrumpet.blogspot.com/) and I decided he needed a coat for the chilly weather we're having- so he got covered with Essie's new gold flakie As Gold As It Gets. It has a wee bit of pink in the flakie as well as the gold- very pretty and covers well- this is one coat over two of Barry M. Base is Orly Bonder and Revlon Quick Dry Topcoat.
