Jade Holos Never Disappoint

The Brazilian brand of Jade nail polishes has put out some brilliant holos over the years. These are from about 5 or 6 years ago, when the only places to get holo polishes were Australia and Brazil, with a few small companies in Asia and Poland producing some, as far as I remember. The gold, Uau! was the first polish I actually carried around in my purse just to stare at it. I've done some sponging on the tip with Jade Vermelho Surreal, a red holo. Lippmann Gel Lab top coat.

Jade Holos- some of the best ever

Look!! Two posts in one week!!! Wowsers!
OK back to our regularly UN scheduled post.....two coats each of Jade Sunset and Jade Oasis- (still a little vnl with Oasis) can't wait for the sun to show up. Ottlite and one pic with flash, topcoat doesn't harm these babies.

On a piCture pOlish Kick!

So my first Picture Polishes are all shades of blue green. Don't know how that happened, unless the blogger selling them decided they didn't like mint, or these are backups, whatever, I got them for a great price! I used the gorgeous Jade, a creamy pale turquoise with shimmer as the base and added dots of the darker Marine first, then Tiffany offset a bit to make scales, or bubbles. HK Girl topcoat. Loving this simple look. Jade took three coats for opacity. Probably some of the best brushes I've ever used, I needed almost no cleanup.
And because I'm not posting as often, here's a bonus pic of my son's girlfriends nails I did purple Packer penguins on.

Jade holos gradient

One of my favorite nail art styles is gradient- a couple polishes, a sponge and voila! Instant art. These three Jade holos are the jelly type- they take multiple layers to add sufficient color to be opaque. I used two coats of the stunning Mystic Gold  as base then dabbed Uau and Sunset at the tips. Of COURSE there's no sun today, pics under the Ott light. Poshe topcoat.

Happy New Year!

In the midst of the coldest weather we've had in 25 years, I wanted a mani to brighten me up. I did skittles using the jelly holos Jade Holografico New Collection, three tropical holos named Sunset, Oasis and Mirage. Two coats leaves some VNL, but I'm happy with it. Super easy application.Topcoat is Lippmann Gel Lab.

The best of both Yellow and Orange Holo

Two coats of the tangerine orange holo Jade Uau topped with one of Jade Mystic Gold. Perfect.

Summery Holo Goodness!

Someone in a Facebook group was asking about strong red linear holos and I pulled out my Jade Vermelho and decided to pair it in a gradient with Uau and Mystic Gold. I used two coats of Mystic Gold then sponged on the others- the Uau really doesn't show- I think it's too close in color and too sheer to really make an impression over the gold. I'm still groovin' on a summer day with this one. First pics under Ott light, last one is full sun inside my car. HK Girl topcoat.

JADE Irresitivel and Extasy

Crappy pics, great polish- a bit sheer after two coats over base but I was tired- Office friendly but BAMM! in the sun. Irresistivel is a pale gold slightly chunky metallic holo that is bright in the office with that ever-so-sneaky holo shimmer barely showing until the sun hits it. Extasy is a smooth bluegray with the classic long line holo rainbow in the sun we all love. It also has a very slight shimmer inside, so win win for both. Topcoat doesn't bother these, nor do they need a special base. Bought at llarowe, also available at ninjapolish.

Finally sun! With Jade Mystic Gold

We've had so much overcast and rain lately I was beginning to mold! Finally clearing and this morning is gorgeous! (still too warm at upper 80's today) I had used the radiant Jade Mystic Gold in a gradient before but wanted to try it alone- this is two coats- one thin and a second a bit thicker-(the gold would look much darker and deeper with three coats)  There is a tiny bit of vnl in low lighting but the gold and rainbows pretty much hide it the rest of the time- glorious pics in various lighting: (CND Stickey base and Out the Door TC- which, btw, does not bother Jade holos)

Another Jade Holo gradient

full sun

this is the bubblegum pink, silver and purple sponged on over one coat of Sonia Kashuk Smoke and Mirrors (or, as ALU says, "silver on crack") I think the silver breaks up the holo alot and dulls it down a bit- they are rather sheer and would need three coats for full coverage.

Jade Holo Rainbows

When ninjapolish.com decided to carry the intense Brazilian holo polishes from Jade recently, me  being the one that ALWAYS misses the deals, I determined that would NOT happen this time, and with their free shipping, these were less than Sally Hansen Salon polishes from the local drugstore. I started with this

then swatched them to this
then did a quick sponge rainbow mani like this- (one coat of Nailtiques #1 base then 1 coat of the gold, sponged with a painted makeup wedge with gold, teal and blue) Poshe topcoat. it's still a bit sheer, but I'm liking the effect. PERFECT application, thin polish but wonderful brush, no dulling whatsoever with topcoat.
